Raining Buckets

Put your name on a piece of paper and pray to the gods it will rain down into the hands of either Jacob Lie or Stu Melton. Or don’t…your chances of getting called up are about the same either way (100% chance!). This is the open mic you need no matter what it’s like outside. Come in and forget the sunshine. No windows. No fresh air. Just the way we like it!
George Peyton Gordon III (yes that is his real name) is a comedian from Dale City, VA, (or as he likes to call it, the great state of Virginia). He currently lives in New York City where you can see his stand-up almost every night, then argue with him about things like which is the better Weezer album—Pinkerton or Blue (definitely Pinkerton)—or why Alien is better than Aliens (because it just is). He has been in the New York Underground Festival, The Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, OR, The Out of Bounds Comedy Festival in Austin, TX, and his writing has been included in the blog Rock Bottom. He has an unhealthy obsession with using parentheses.

The Kaleidoscope is an experiment where friends and strangers get together and perform. Every week, four improvisers will form teams with whom they have never performed to create teams that have never existed and will never exist again. Like a kaleidoscope: every time you look you will see something different. Hosted by Tao Yang

Andy Sandford hosts a secret lineup of some of the funniest standups that NYC has to offer. All doing their newest, rawest, most untested material. Witness the birth of comedy gold, or the death of a once promising premise. Both will likely happen, and that’s the beauty of the process. It’s all good, because the comedians are all good.

Start the week off right, cheap Pabst Blue Ribbon and new jokes fresh off the napkin. At least four minutes to work out this week’s new material. 11pm-ish, names get drawn from a bucket, hosted by Joseph Robert.”

Enjoy some British delicacies like dry humour, absurd surrealism and silly accents as comics get two and a half minutes of stage time. The bucket is always open so late comers are welcome. This mic is also pro shorts on stage when the weather is nice enough. It is also the world’s first and only cryptocurrency themed comedy night, where host Dominic Fogarty provides a weekly update of crypto prices in real time
